EACH MONTH WE WILL BE HIGHLIGHTING ONE DOG AT THE PENNSYLVANIA SPCA THAT IS IN NEED OF A LOVING HOME. NOT ONLY WILL WE BE TELLING EACH PUP'S STORY, WE WILL ALSO BE PAYING FOR THE ADOPTION FEE FOR THAT PUP IF ONE OF OUR AMAZING CUSTOMERS GIVES THEM A LOVING HOME. HELP US HELP THEM!
MEET JACOB
Name: Jacob
Breed: Bull Terrier/Pit Mix
Approximate Age: 8 years old
Meet Jacob, a loving eight-year-old bull terrier/pit mix. Jacob was originally rescued by the PSPCA Humane Law Enforcement Team in 2012 and has been in and out of the shelter for years. Jacob is the currently the longest-living resident at the PSPCA and has been homeless for almost 900 days!
Jacob has some amazing bull terrier qualities in him, like the need to be close to a kind adult who is totally down to snuggle. He is definitely a pup that loves to stay by your side and will give you tons of love throughout the day. Who doesn’t love a snuggle bug? One of Jacob’s favorite things to do is to nap - he follows a nap, chill-on-a-comfy-chair, and nap again routine, and really, who could blame him?! Jacob will remind you to slow down and go with the relaxing flow of life.
Jacob is super smart and loves to learn. He’s searching for someone who will be willing to teach him some new tricks! Because he can be a little bit nervous about new situations and other animals, Jacob will do best in an adult-only home as the single pet. He’s been in foster care before, and has proven he can be very well-behaved in a home.
This sweet guy is a favorite at the PSPCA - he’s even got his own Instagram account, @adopt_jacob! Do you have a comfortable couch or bed that Jacob could take a snooze on? If so, he would really love to meet you!
